Orangeburg County School District (OCSD), NetSource Enterprise Technologies, and Boxlight Corporation (Nasdaq: BOXL) today share a video success story on their partnership of more than 15 years. The latest investment is a pair of 180-inch LED video walls in the gymnasium of the new Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. The walls build on years of shared work across the district’s 27 schools and centers, including FrontRow Conductor, classroom sound reinforcement, and digital signage.
Orangeburg-based NetSource has supported OCSD for more than 15 years. The work began with FrontRow Conductor districtwide, which links bells, paging, intercom, and emergency alerts into one system, then grew to classroom sound reinforcement and digital signage. Now two 180-inch LED walls in the new Orangeburg-Wilkinson gym give students, families, and the community a place to gather for games, assemblies, and events.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson also added digital signage in the cafeteria: three 86-inch displays for mass communication and four smaller displays for lunch menus. With FrontRow Conductor, digital signage and the large LED walls, the school now has a connected ecosystem.
“In planning a new high school, we wanted to solve a number of issues, not only giving our students an environment that’s conducive to learning and preparing them for the next stages in life,” said Dr. Shawn Foster, Superintendent of Orangeburg County School District. “This is a very large school, and so it is very difficult for every student to be seen and heard. These opportunities allow our students to feel a part of the school culture and environment.”
“Working with Boxlight at Orangeburg builds a kind of repeat business that only comes from trust,” said Clark McCrary, Chief Technology Officer, NetSource Enterprise Technologies. “We know the district’s goals.”
District leaders say that local knowledge is what sets the partnership apart. “For us, NetSource is not only a vendor, but more so a member of the family,” said Foster. “They understand and they are there in response to the needs of the school district. And that makes the difference.”
The project reflects Boxlight’s approach of working through trusted partners to deliver one connected platform for instruction, communication, and safety.
“Products are great, but the relationships and partnerships are what makes them matter,” said Chris Powell, Regional Vice President, Southeast, Boxlight. “Districts really have a challenge with replacing old equipment, and what they want to replace it with is something that is a complete solution that ties others together.”
